(More customer reviews)As the happy owner of an Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW wireless adpater, I purchased the Alfa AWUS036NH 2000mW wireless adpater for my second computer expecting to be ecstatic.
Imagine my disappointment when I discovered that the 2000mW adapter has more difficulty finding, acquiring, and maintaining connections to wireless access points than does the less expensive, supposedly less powerful 1000mW adapter.
Regardless of the combinations of cables, antennas, computers, locations, and updated drivers I tried, the 2000mW adapter consistently found fewer than half as many access points and reported far lower signal strength than did the 1000mW adapter.
Assuming that I'd received a defective item, I contacted a customer service agent at DB Roth who politely handled my call and promptly shipped a replacement adapter.
Unfortunately the second AWUS036NH performed just as badly as the first. Since both 2000mW adapters had exhibited the same behavior and the 1000mW adapter performed perfectly (as has been similarly reported by other Amazon.com customers), I have decided to exchange the 2000mW adapter for the less expensive 1000mW adapter.
DB Roth customer service has been extremely helpful. In spite of a brief misunderstanding over shipping charges, Bianca in customer service deserves very high marks.
Sadly, I can't say the same for the Alfa 2000mW adapter.

Cisco-Linksys WPC600N Ultra RangePlus Dual-Band Wireless-N PC Card Review

(More customer reviews)This wireless adapter is great. I'm using it with the Linksys WRT600N Router. I've heard that people have had issues using the Linksys wireless utility that gets installed when you run the startup CD, so I installed the adapter first, and then when windows prompted me for a driver I put the cd in. That way I just used the CD for the drivers and did not install the wireless utility that comes with it. I haven't had any issues using the standard Windows wireless configuration tools. I would also recommend changing the radio band on the Linksys WRT600N router from Auto to the Wide-40mhz channel (for the 5ghz network only, leaving the 2.4ghz wireless network setting to auto) then connect to the 5ghz network using the WPC600N and have all of your other b, g and 2.4ghz-N devices connect to the 2.4ghz wireless network. This setup has worked great for me, I'm really happy with both products.

Cisco-Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the WUSB600N wireless network adaptor to support my 5.5 year old Sony Pentium 4. The WUSB600N is the size of a large thumb drive and it uses a USB connection on one end. It comes with a USB stand for use with desktops but can also be connected directly to laptops.
Thus far, the unit has worked great but . . . I did not install the unit as instructed by the directions. Having had problems with Linksys software on a previous wireless card, I took a hint from another reviewer and I hooked it up and used the Windows XP install hardware utility to install the unit. Just use the driver off the Linksys install CD. I use the XP wireless network connection to manage it. The Verizon wireless G router is on the second floor and I use this in the basement with no connectivity problems.
I think the WUSB600N is great, the small size takes up almost no space on my desk and the USB format means I can swap it between machines. I am completely satisfied and recommend it - with the installation caveat.
