(More customer reviews)After a herky jerky start, my rating of this product jumped from 2 stars to 4. Don't fret Mac owners. If you are trying to integrate your Mac OS X system to print to the Netgear PS101, there is a solution: configure your Mac for IP printing, set the printer type to LPD/LPR, enter the print server IP address, input the queue name, example HPLASER4L_P1 (netgear device name_printer port), and make sure you select the right printer model. If you select Generic or any other model than your printer you will waste paper. I hope this is helpful...

(More customer reviews)Works fine. set up three of them on my network. 3 XP Pro computes computers and one running Win 98SE. Need to change the defauld IP addresss on each additional DP-301P+ after you use the default ip address for the first one (using the web browser to access the units ). For win 98 you have to go read the manual on the CD (a .PDF file) for installing on win 98, and ME ect..and run the included software to install the print client for the network. On win XP all you have to do is set the IP address, look at the port name in the configuration screen, and then use the win XP "install printer wizard" using the ip addrss and port name per the instructions.. I.E. the guy below who could not install it using ME apparantly did not read the Manusl on the CD for specific instructions for installing on a Win 98, or ME computer ..nor did he run the software needed to make it work on Win 98 or ME.

TRENDnet Wireless 1-Port Parallel Print Server TEW-P1PG (Blue) Review

(More customer reviews)I converted my LaserJet 5MP (what a workhorse!) to wireless with this unit. It communicates well with the Ubuntu and Windows Vista laptops in the house. Wireless printing is much more convenient than print sharing since you don't have to turn on an extra machine to act as a server.
The documentation could be better and you need a Windows computer (or WINE) to get this running because the web interface doesn't work out of the box. But it's been running fine for weeks now that I've installed it.
I haven't had a problem with signal strength at all and my printer is upstairs while my computer is often downstairs.
I would recommend this adapter with the caveat that it's easy to set up if you know the basics of home networks. From the other reviews and comments, I'd say that if you don't know what an IP address is or how to install a networked printer on your OS, you might want to look elsewhere for something simpler to install.
