(More customer reviews)I picked up a DSS 16+ switch and it definitely improved our network of 14 computers. We were using the two uplinks. I purchased the system in January and it has a 3 year warranty.
Yesterday, it died completely. We lost all our ports. You cannot get through D-Link tech support by phone, and e-mail has been slow to get an RMA.
In retrospect, I think the slightly more expensive Link-Sys switches may be manufactured with better quality control.

The D-Link DSS-16+ is a powerful desktop dual-speed 16-port 10/100 Mbps Ethernet/Fast Ethernet NWay auto-negotiating switch. (More customer reviews)The Netgear FS116E 10/100 network switch has great build quality and very low power consumption. The 2 units I purchased have worked flawlessly for over 6 months. The vlan support is a terrific feature for such a low priced switch and works as expected. Vlan configuration is through a small application on the enclosed CD and is easy to configure. With vlans, multiple subnets can be carried over a single ethernet cable. Highly Recommended.

(More customer reviews)Who would think one could be so enthusiastic about a power strip? Well, I was looking for something I didn't think was possible to find:
- slim design
- always on outlets along with the ability to truly power some off
- reasonable length cord
- decent remote control (both looks and function)
I got all of the above with this product. It is tucked away in a cabinet where I don't have to see it (and I don't have mikes of cord taking up the rest of the cabinet area), with my laptop in one of the "always on" outlets. BlackBerry, iPad, and my husband's phone charger are in the remote-controlled outlets. Every morning after I read the news on my iPad, I plug it in and use the remote. When our devices are charged, off go the outlets. The remote is slim and unobtrusive. I also can't complain about the price.
